In order to provide clearance, use this machined spacer on the shaft of model 1410, 1412, SDR4P, or SDR5P series Sioux Mini Palm Drills when you install a Metal Keyless Chuck(including ROHM).  If you do not use a spacer, the chuck does not have sufficient clearance from the body of the drill motor and can become stuck.  

Note:  Not all brands of air drill require a spacer when installing a Metal Keyless Chuck.  You can easily determine if you will need a spacer by installing the Keyless Chuck by hand (do NOT tighten it, you are just checking for clearance) - if you see that you do not have clearance where the bottom of the chuck meets the nose of the drill, then remove the chuck before tightening it and and reinstall with the use of a spacer.
